GLOBULAR CLUSTER PROGRAM
The Peterson Stars and Planets Field Guide defines a globular cluster as "a spherical grouping of stars of a common origin; globular clusters and the stars in them are very old."
For many amateurs, globular clusters represent some of the most visually appealing deep sky objects. This observing program, based on a list compiled by Joe Goss, concentrates on globs - a total of 50 gems. The table below includes name, constellation and visual magnitude.
Your observing log book should contain date, time, seeing conditions, object description and equipment used.
