The August issue of the official newsletter of the East Valley Astronomy Club -- The Observer -- is now available for download from our website.
To get your copy of the latest issue, you may go to the club's website Newsletter Archive page (http://evaconline.org/newsletter.html) and simply click one of the blue tabs along the top of the page.
The Observer is created using Adobe InDesign CS3 and exported as a PDF via Adobe Distiller 9. The tab labeled Large Version will get you a high-resolution version, just the way your editor intended (prepared with PDF/X-4:2007 job options in Adobe Distiller). The Small Version is a PDF prepared with smaller file size in mind and is of lower resolution (smallest file size job options). The Zipped Version is a small version zipped up with a fairly tight compression algorithm, resulting in the smallest file size available. You will need a decompression program such as WinZip or WinAce, or an operating system like XP, to unzip this one. Select the appropriate version and... enjoy!
